Toru Takahashi

Global Chief Strategy Officer, GLOBIS Corporation

Mr. Toru Takahashi started his career at Marubeni Corporation, where he was primarily involved in developing the overseas businesses of machinery manufacturers. He was assigned overseas for a total of eight years. He participated in infrastructure development projects in Iran, as well as a wide range of businesses at Marubeni’s regional headquarters for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in Belgium. His duties included supporting companies expanding globally by launching various overseas projects, providing management support, and financing for investments and business partners, including setting up local subsidiaries.

In 2002, he joined GLOBIS, where he became involved in human resources development for corporate clients. Committed to developing local leaders in various countries, he led efforts to expand GLOBIS’s overseas business activities by establishing GLOBIS China, GLOBIS Asia Pacific, and GLOBIS Thailand. He served as President and CEO of GLOBIS Europe from 2022 to 2025, before being appointed Global Chief Strategy Officer in July 2025.

Mr. Takahashi graduated from Sophia University with a degree in economics and completed the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He earned his PhD in Management from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Mr. Takahashi has authored People Who Get Results Overseas Don’t Use Cultural Issues as Excuses and co-authored GLOBIS MBA Management Book II.
