GLOBIS University Welcomes its New English MBA Cohort: 116 students from 30 nationalities
Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo—GLOBIS University held its annual entrance ceremony for the 2024 English MBA programs on September 8. This year, the most diverse cohort yet will start their MBA journey: 70 students from 18 countries are entering the Part-time and Online MBA Program, while 46 students from 20 countries have enrolled in the Full-time MBA Program.
With the increasing influx of students introduced by GLOBIS University subsidiaries across Asia, America, and Europe, the English programs have reached a new level of diversity.
As it is tradition, GLOBIS University President and Founder Yoshito Hori welcomed the new cohort with a special address;
I ask you to learn to take risks to create and innovate societies.
If you do not take risks, there will be no value-added to societies, therefore no return to you and society.
At GLOBIS, I hope you will learn to take risks in order to create and innovate societies.
Three student representatives addressed their fellow incoming classmates. Hannah Therese Enriquez from the Full-time MBA Program spoke about the positive impact the program and community has for her and how she hopes the new cohort to experience the same;
GLOBIS MBA can help me with being a better employee and leader. The GLOBIS community, the students, the faculty, the alumni, everyone can help me to be a better Christian.
This is what I want to impart. Let’s do our best. Let us hold on to our values and what we believe in. Most importantly, let us enjoy our MBA journey.
Karl Henrik Falck from the Part-time and Online MBA Program shared how GLOBIS continues to help him achieving his goals;
Coming to GLOBIS, I wanted to fill in the gaps in my knowledge, but more importantly, I wanted to enhance my leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Above all, I wanted to be a part of this great community and build a personal and professional network.
Even in the short time I’ve been here, my perspective and approach to work have improved, and I am now able to incorporate business, leadership, and management skills with my technical background.
Lastly, Yumiko Onishi, also from the Part-time and Online MBA Program, joined remotely to emphasize that despite the differences among students, the goal of learning and growth unites them;
Each of us may have different kokorozashi, but we have something in common. That we want to gain practical knowledge and new perspectives, expand our network, push ourselves to reach the stars.
In the Part-time Online MBA Program, there are 70 incoming students from 18 countries and regions: Bangladesh, China, Ethiopia, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.
