CATEGORIES:GLOBIS UNIVERSITY

TOKYO (September 7, 2026)—GLOBIS University held its annual entrance ceremony for the 2026 English MBA programs on September 6. With overall student numbers increasing annually, Full-time MBA enrollment has grown by over 50%, overtaking Part-time and Online MBA enrollment for the first time in GLOBIS history: 91 students from 31 countries have enrolled in the Full-time MBA Program, while 88 students from 30 countries have joined the Part-time and Online MBA Program. Enrollment over GLOBIS’s international hubs across Asia, Europe, and the US continues to boost diversity in the English MBA program.

As it is tradition, GLOBIS University President and Founder Yoshito Hori welcomed the new cohort with a special address;

Our mission is to educate you to become visionary leaders who create and innovate societies. You shall be the ones to create and innovate Japan, Asia, and the world.

Three student representatives addressed their fellow incoming classmates. Yu Yu Wang from the Full-time MBA Program spoke about her motivation to join the program and invited her cohort to challenge themselves;

Why are we here? Are we here simply to earn a degree? I believe that the answer is no.
We are here to challenge ourselves.
 We are here to meet people who think differently from us.
 We are here to turn knowledge into action, and ideas into impact.
And most importantly, we are here to discover who we can become.

Prince Jonathan Bolampembe Batey, from the Part-time and Online MBA Program, shared his kokorozashi and spoke about exploring new perspectives together with his peers;

Each person here brings a different story, culture, profession, perspective, and dream. During this journey, there will be moments when we agree and moments when we strongly disagree. I hope we embrace both.
Let us challenge each other’s assumptions. Let us share our experiences generously. Let us support one another when things become difficult and celebrate one another when things go well.

Lastly, Said Al Shoaili, also a student in the Part-time and Online MBA Program, joined remotely from Oman, sharing his aspirations for his upcoming studies at GLOBIS University;

Today, all of us arrive from different countries, industries, cultures, and stages of life.
Some are full-time students. Some are part-time students, somehow balancing careers, families, responsibilities—and now an MBA.
But today, we all share one title: Student.
And that gives us the opportunity to listen differently, think differently, and perhaps even become different.

In the Full-time MBA Program, there are 91 students representing 31 countries: Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, China, France, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Mali, Mexico, Myanmar, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Panama, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Romania, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.
