GLOBIS Hosts Special Dialogue Honoring H.E. Dr. Mohamed Said Al Busadi, Ambassador of Oman to Japan

TOKYO (July 22, 2026)—GLOBIS hosted a special presentation and dialogue session featuring His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Said Al Busadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Japan, alongside GLOBIS Founder and President Yoshito Hori. Held on the evening of July 21 at the GLOBIS Tokyo Campus, the event was organized to celebrate the growing ties between Oman and GLOBIS—a partnership that has been significantly strengthened by the endorsement and ongoing support of His Excellency.

During the event, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Said Al Busadi reflected on his mission in Japan. He shared profound insights into the past, present, and future of the Middle East, highlighting what Oman and Japan can accomplish together in the years ahead. His Excellency’s presentation was followed by an engaging dialogue with Hori, which explored mutual goals in leadership and innovation.

Encouraged by His Excellency, GLOBIS has cultivated an expansive partnership with Oman over recent years, driven by a shared dedication to practical, values-driven management education. This collaboration took root with joint educational modules for the Royal Academy of Management (RAM) and was solidified when Hori was appointed to RAM’s International Advisory Board in 2025. Through a series of high-level engagements—including exclusive leadership seminars in Muscat, strategic dialogues with Omani officials, and cultural exchanges in Tokyo such as the screening of the documentary Mudira: A Story from Oman—GLOBIS has consistently worked alongside Omani leaders to foster cross-cultural learning and mutual growth.

Building on this strong foundation, GLOBIS recently marked a major milestone by establishing the GLOBIS Middle East Commercial Representative Office in Muscat on June 15, 2026. Serving as the organization’s first presence in the region, the office will inaugurate in October 2026, offering corporate education programs, MBA courses, and leadership development initiatives aligned with Oman Vision 2040. Through this strategic expansion, GLOBIS reaffirms its continued commitment to nurturing the enduring relationship between Oman and Japan, driving cross-border collaboration, and creating visionary leaders around the world.

About His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Said Al Busadi

Dr. Mohamed Al Busaidi was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Japan in 2018. Prior to assuming his duties, Ambassador Al Busaidi started his career as a Professor of Physics at Sultan Qaboos University joining the Foreign Ministry in 2009 and held prominent positions such as the Chief of the North American Affairs Department. His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Busaidi is also the Non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Australia, and New Zealand.
