Tokyo, Japan — GLOBIS is proud to announce that its President and Founder, Yoshito Hori, has been appointed to the International Advisory Board of the Royal Academy of Management (RAM) in Oman. This prestigious role marks a significant milestone in fostering deeper ties between Japan and Oman through strategic partnerships in leadership and executive education.

Hori’s experience in leadership development and international collaboration will support the Royal Academy of Management’s efforts to expand its executive education programs and build strategic networks

This collaboration builds on the successful partnership between GLOBIS and RAM in 2024, when GLOBIS facilitated an education module for fifty students. They participated in a week-long program designed to promote cross-cultural learning and leadership development. The initiative underscored both institutions’ dedication to cultivating global leaders through experiential learning.

In addition, as part of further strengthening cooperation in the Middle East region, Hori visited Oman in October 2024, at the invitation of RAM. While there, Hori exchanged views with government officials, startup founders, and leaders from both the public and private sectors to discuss innovative approaches to economic development and leadership improvement.

During the visit, Hori interacted with key players in Oman’s economic development, emphasizing the importance of cooperation to drive growth. The President of the Royal Academy of Management Dr. Ali bin Qassim Al Lawati shared valuable insights on innovation through strategic partnerships.

The discussions included other prominent leaders such as H.E. Ibtisam Al Farouji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; H.E. Sheikh Dr. Ali Al Sunaidy, President of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones; H.E. Halima Al-Zari, President of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority; and Mr. Rashid Al Hashmi , Senior Manager of Future Fund Oman at the Oman Investment Authority.

GLOBIS welcomes this appointment as a valuable step in advancing mutual goals and fostering deeper connections between Japan and Oman. The partnership is expected to support leadership initiatives and expand opportunities for knowledge exchange and innovation.
