Since its establishment, GLOBIS continuously challenged itself to realize its vision of “creating and innovating societies by fostering management ecosystems of people, capital, and knowledge.” In order to accelerate the realization of this founding vision and to keep changing, GLOBIS launched a brand project to review the state of its brand last year.

The newly released brand page elaborates GLOBIS brand core, logo design concept, corporate color, and the story behind the renewal process.

New corporate logo

The new logo design is based on the concept of the “GLOBIS Blue Flame”. The imagery symbolizes the strong will, intelligence, and passion that resides in the hearts of people who come to GLOBIS. The newly selected corporate color “GLOBIS Blue,” a bright, vivid blue flame, represents burning ambition, like fire turning blue when its temperature rises.

Additionally, a square logo has been created to ensure versatility in different situations.

Alongside the renewal of the corporate logo, group company and service logos were renewed. The new corporate color “GLOBIS Blue” was applied to all logos in order to achieve a better sense of unity and consistency between brands.

To facilitate further global expansion, GLOBIS partnered with Takram Japan K.K. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Kinya Tagawa; hereafter “Takram”) and type designer Masaki Ando to create an official typeface called “GLOBIS Serif.”  Aiming to boost its global presence and brand value, GLOBIS will implement the original font to foster trust by improving communication consistency.

Brand renewal background

GLOBIS celebrated its 30th anniversary on August 1, 2022. Since its establishment, GLOBIS has worked to realize its vision of “creating and transforming societies by fostering management ecosystems of people, capital, and knowledge”.”

In recent years, the ability to spark business innovation by leveraging cutting-edge technologies like generative AI is exceedingly sought after. GLOBIS calls this paradigm shift in management approach:“Technovate*.” The company is pursuing new ways of learning in order to develop the leaders of the Technovate era. In line with this trend, GLOBIS has changed its goal from becoming “Asia’s No. 1 MBA” to “the world’s No. 1 MBA in the Technovate era,” and is expanding its activities globally to do so.

To respond to these drastic changes and in order to accelerate the realization of its founding vision, GLOBIS decided it must keep changing, and launched a project to review the state of its brand in collaboration with Takram. As part of this project, GLOBIS surveyed students, alumni, faculty, business partners, employees, and other stakeholders about their thoughts on changing the corporate logo. Following discussions on the brand’s ideal state and design, two final logo designs were put to a vote, resulting in the new corporate logo being announced on October 24, 2023.

With GLOBIS celebrating its 30th anniversary, we started a brand project to align our brand with our current needs and our goal to become “the world’s No. 1 MBA in the Technovate era.”

We surveyed students, alumni, faculty, business partners, employees, and other stakeholders about their thoughts on changing the existing logo and created new logo proposals. A final vote led to the decision to renew the logo. I would like to again express my heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders who participated in the logo voting process.

Aiming to stay ahead of emerging trends, our new logo features a highly visible design that resonates with global audiences. GLOBIS stays committed to taking on challenges ahead, both in Japan and on a global scale.

At the occasion of GLOBIS’s 30th anniversary in 2022, we decided to position GLOBIS as a “social contribution dominant company” following our founding principle of “contributing to societies through business.”

In addition to social contributions through business activities such as MBA programs, corporate education, and venture capital, GLOBIS will strive to improve the state of Japan and the world through G1 and KIBOW, as well as revitalize the city of Mito and Ibaraki Prefecture through initiatives such as the Ibaraki Robots, LuckyFM Ibaraki Broadcasting, and LuckyFes.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude and respect to everyone who has supported GLOBISand continues to do so. We are committed to realizing our management vision to  “contribute to society through business,” “provide opportunities for self-fulfillment,” and “realize an ideal corporate system” to help even more individuals and organizations realize their potential and fulfill their aspirations.
