GLOBIS Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary

Tokyo, Japan—August 1, 2022, marks thirty years since the establishment of GLOBIS Corporation. GLOBIS has grown from a single business course taught from a rented classroom to Japan’s largest business school and venture capital firm, as well as a leader in positive social impact and regional revitalization.

GLOBIS Business over the Years
As a business, GLOBIS has disseminated expertise across industries and regions. The GLOBIS Group now boasts offices in Japan, Thailand, Singapore, China, the USA, and Belgium. GLOBIS University has seen over 7,000 graduates from the MBA programs. GLOBIS corporate training programs have benefited nearly 2 million professionals in Japan and overseas. GLOBIS Capital Partners has raised over 1.18 billion USD, including its seventh venture capital fund (established in 2022). The online learning platform GLOBIS Unlimited and online publication GLOBIS Insights further share business knowledge with the world.

GLOBIS Social Impact over the Years
Through an ecosystem of people, capital, and knowledge, GLOBIS empowers leaders. At the core of GLOBIS is the concept of kokorozashi, a personal mission that unifies passion and skill to spark positive change in society. The G1 Institute creates space for the next generation of leaders across industries to exchange ideas and inspire social change. KIBOW Foundation empowers social entrepreneurs in Japan through impact investing. The Mito Downtown Revitalization Project brings stakeholders from the local government and private sector to collaborate on revitalizing Mito City and Ibaraki prefecture.

GLOBIS started in 1992 with a single marketing course in a small rented classroom in Shibuya. Thirty years after its founding, GLOBIS remains committed to its vision of creating and transforming societies through ecosystems of people, capital, and knowledge.
We have expanded globally with offices in China, Singapore, Thailand, and the United States. In July 2022, we launched an office in Brussels, Belgium. This will be our first EMEA base in our mission to develop leaders around the world.
Over the past 30 years, GLOBIS has continued toward the vision that we set forth at the time of our founding. We will continue to take on the challenge of becoming the world’s No. 1 MBA in the Technovate Era.”
